Squid-Algebra Problem
Mr Hedman is obsessed with Squidoo. He currently has three lenses. Harry Potter Fan Art is currently ranked #148. While Waiting for Harry Potter 7 is currently ranked #505 and Harry Potter Music is ranked #1618.
These numbers are good enough that Mr. Hedman is #95 on the Top 100 Lensmaster list. He wants to publish The Giant Squid AND stay on the Top 100 Lensmaster list.
What ranking does the new lens need so Mr. Hedman stays on the list? What other information is needed to answer this question?

Well, assuming the Top 100 Lensmasters ranking is based on the average ranking of that Lensmaster’s lenses, and taking into account that the average rank of your lenses is 1192.3333 (we’re not sure how closely the average of a given lensmaster’s lenses is monitored), I think it would be safe to say that you need a lens ranking of at least 1150 to safely stay in the Top 100 Lensmasters list. If you feel like cutting the margins a bit thin, you could run the calculation on the 96th through 100th ranked lensmasters to see how they measure up.
Good luck!
